Under the child protection output led by UNICEF, we will support the Sindh government in improving and strengthening the policy and institutional framework around child protection. This will include support on drafting the Child Protection policy, developing rules for the Sindh Child Protection Authority, establishing health interoperable birth registration systems, and revising Civil Registration and Verification System (CRVS) by-laws to encourage inclusive birth registration. Support will also be provided to build capacities of provincial CP and social welfare institutions in preventing and responding to CP issues. The existing scope will be expanded to include reforms in the juvenile justice systems as well as introduction of life skills development packages, based on the specific needs identified in the province.\n \n2. Under the GBV and Child Marriage outputs led by UNFPA, we will continue to focus on legislative and institutional reforms aimed at improving the local GBV, domestic violence and child marriage protection and response mechanisms. A key focus of these interventions will be on exploring the links between forced conversion and child marriage. Sindh is ahead of other provinces in terms of legislation on GBV, however implementation remains the biggest challenge. Our focus, therefore, will be on updating and supporting the implementation of the frameworks on Sexual Violence and Response and Domestic Violence, developing rules of business for the Child Marriage Restraint Act, developing and institutionalising the curriculum on Anti-rape Laws, clinical management of rape and child marriage laws with concerned departments and academic institutions.  \n \n3.
