Civilians, particularly women and children, are often targeted by armed actors. It is a protracted crisis. FCDO and partners in DRC have a role in shifting the trajectory. To do this the UK needs a holistic approach to address new humanitarian needs, support recovery and household ability to cope with shocks and help survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) recover. BEK will focus our programme on the east of DRC with flexibility to respond to new crises that may develop elsewhere in the country."],
