The activities will include consolidation meetings between CSOs, formulation of policy briefs, and dissemination meetings with relevant government officials\n \n ID: GB-GOV-1-400124-403\nTitle: Women's Media Watchdog (WMW Project): Advancing Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion in the Election Coverage Reporting\nDescription: In this project Konde.co seeks to strengthen the role of women's media as a watchdog to ensure that the 2024 elections and the governance during the period beyond will be inclusive or involve women and vulnerable groups, not only increasing their participation as election participants (voters) but also allows women's representation and vulnerable groups getting publications of their stories and victories as well as pushing policies that are inclusive and anti-discrimination. In order to achieve these goals, Konde.co sets three strategies: the first strategy is for Women's Media to have election coverage guidelines for women and vulnerable groups, the second is to strengthen women's media and their journalist’s  knowledge and strengthen the collaboration on inclusivity and diversity issues. The last strategy is strengthening women’s media public education on inclusivity and diversity toward election.\n \n ID: GB-GOV-1-400124-404\nTitle: Engaging Inter-Religious Harmony Forum in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding\nDescription: While religious freedom is guaranteed in our Constitution, Indonesia continues to struggle with religious conflicts that harm religious minorities. An increasingly popular strategy in dealing with such conflict is mediation, most notably by the Inter-Religious Harmony Forums (FKUB). Although the use of this non-legal mechanism is perceived to be less costly, less divisive, and more sustainable, mediations by FKUB have been criticized for undermining minority rights. This is because mediation is often misunderstood and misused as a way to “legally” force the minority to succumb to the majority’s demand. The project aims to strengthen local FKUB members and inter-faith leaders by (1) building the mediation skills and knowledge of FKUB members, (2) facilitating them to collaborate with other relevant actors for effective conflict resolution, and (3) developing participatory community processes and forums that can help to build social capital, overcome mistrust, and set a framework for constructive disputes resolution.\n \n ID: GB-GOV-1-400124-405\nTitle: Building Legal Aid Movement Resilience to Strengthen Rule of Law, Human Rights, and Democracy\n\n\nDescription: This proposed FCDO-to-Indonesian people collaboration seeks to support Indonesia’s good practices through supporting a series of initiatives, including to establish anti-criminalisation center, training paramedia , and civil society consolidation by strengthening Democratic League. This proposal is part of a larger effort in project Strengthening the Rule of Law and Reverse the Regression of Democracy and Human Rights by Revitalizing the Structural Legal Aid Movement funded by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Project funded by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands shall fund these initiatives in 15 LBH while this proposed project will fund 3 in key areas of Bali, Medan, and Jakarta. There is a big concern that there are some attempts to mobilize state apparatus to support certain political parties and/or candidates. In addition, people are also worried about the independence of electoral management body, especially KPU, in conducting the 2024 elections. Several electoral observers and activists considered KPU not transparent and not independent in conducting the electoral stages. And therefore, NEGRIT initiates a project in which NETGRIT and its coalition will organize public participatory monitoring during vote counting and results recapitulation process in the 2024 election in Indonesia. The programme aims to build a coordinated movement by strengthening existing CSAs and coalitions, rather than creating new entities. It responds to growing risks posed by digital transformation and the limited implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27/2022). The initiative will assess legal and institutional frameworks, map data flows, and identify gaps in current practices. It will also build capacity through scenario-based pilot training involving investigators, prosecutors, judges, and IT officers, co-facilitated by UK and Indonesian experts. Outputs include a baseline report, policy recommendations, training materials, and a facilitation guide. The project emphasizes ethical data governance, especially for vulnerable groups such as children and survivors of gender-based violence.
