This is part of the FCDO’s official development assistance and falls under the OECD DAC ODA rules.\n \n ID: GB-GOV-1-400223-401\nTitle: GEO: ZEG Tbilisi Storytelling Festival \nDescription: ZEG is a cross-disciplinary event that brings together storytellers from various professions, forces people out of their silos and into joint thinking about how we can collaboratively shape narratives for the future. \nThe inaugural edition took place in 2019, while the second edition was a one-day program titled ZEG in Focus: Ukraine, planned in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. In 2023 we hosted the first fully-fledged festival since 2019, with three days of ‘in-conversation’ sessions, panel discussions, networking events, workshops, and walking tours. For ZEG 2024 we plan to take the conversations started in 2023 to the next level with an even more diverse group of speakers which will bring together historians, musicians, chefs, actors, journalists, philosophers, comedians, educators, designers, activists, psychologists, medical practitioners, and tech industry leaders in one room to talk about the issues shaping the future. Notably, with 2024 being an important year for elections all over the world, including Georgia, we plan to organize several important sessions on this subject. Given the ongoing efforts for expansion and modernization of Armenia's atmospheric air quality monitoring system, ensuring the continuous and accurate operation of these monitoring stations is crucial. This requires constant control, diagnostics, calibration and maintenance that are essential for ensuring the accuracy of air quality data. This can be ensured through mobile services. \nA vehicle-based mobile laboratory will allow these processes to be carried out directly at the monitoring stations, preventing data gaps and increasing the reliability of the air quality measurements.\n \n ID: GB-GOV-1-400223-419\nTitle: MOL: International Women Judges Day and Cash Smuggling\nDescription: The event is a half day conference followed by an evening reception. \nIn the afternoon there will be two sessions. In addition, 52 foster carers will receive training—either as first-time participants or through refresher sessions—and all will benefit from tailored in-person mentoring and follow-up support. A legislative framework guides ecological rehabilitation, prioritizing areas impacted by radioactive contamination from the Chernobyl disaster. Among 24 contaminated peatlands, the Kolybanskoe site (832 ha) in the Polesye Radioactive Nature Reserve is particularly vulnerable. Accelerated drying due to climate change increases fire risks, which are especially dangerous in radioactive zones. Fires can disperse radionuclide-laden ash up to 1,500 km, posing severe environmental and public health threats. \nRestoration of degraded peatlands in radionuclide affected area is therefore a critical priority for Belarus and all the Europe. Rewetting through scientifically justified and specially designed, dams, dykes, regulating sluices mitigates these risks while supporting biodiversity, carbon storage, and climate regulation. Restored wetlands also align with international commitments to remediate Chernobyl’s legacy. \nWithin the state programme, 380 hectares of Kolybanskoe’s peatland, and particularly northern past have been re-wetted, while 452 hectares in the southern part remain degraded. The proposed project aims to prepare scientific rationale for re-wetting southern part of Kolybanskoe peatland and prepare grounds for monitoring of outcomes.\n",
