Informed by  qualitative data from key country stakeholders, research teams will develop analytical case studies in collaboration with national policy-makers as they attempt to adapt to, mitigate and build broader resilience to the ongoing climate crisis.\n\nThis collaboration will support a total of twelve country case studies and associated costs for the Alliance secretariat.\n. Improve the understanding of factors underlying low vaccine acceptance through formative and contextual analysis of supply- and demand-side constraints, including around the social determinants of health;   \nSupport the development of cutting-edge Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR) that uses a variety of methods and approaches, including but not limited to participatory action research and ethnography to identify potential strategies to address low vaccine acceptance as well as appropriate methodologies (including the use of mixed methods approaches) to examine the implementation of these strategies in particular national/sub-national contexts; and  \nEngage with governments at national and sub-national levels and with civil society to examine how learning can inform the development of programmes and policies to address challenges around vaccine acceptance.   \n \n ID: GB-GOV-10-AHPSR-KNOSA\nTitle: Partnerships for stronger knowledge systems in Africa\nDescription: A collaboration between the World Health Organization (WHO) Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR) and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to support the expansion of the Partnerships for stronger knowledge systems in Africa (KNOSA) programme. KNOSA will build robust knowledge systems in Africa by strengthening institutional capacities and leadership to better inform policy-making processes. This will involve: \n- Establishing institutional partnerships between a set of African research and policy institutions;  \n- Building research-to-policy networks across institutions; \n- Generating new knowledge and practice on institutional approaches for research evidence use and national knowledge systems, such as rapid reviews, evidence synthesis, priority-setting, evidence-informed advocacy, dialogue, and engagement with media and public; \n- Improving local evidence-informed policy and practice; \n- Co-designing a suite of system-level interventions across those institutions to strengthen the use of research evidence in national policy-making processes; and \n- Increasing the scholarship on institutional capacity strengthening in Low- and Middle-Income Countriess by documenting and disseminating learning on capacity mechanisms for strengthening knowledge systems, both for global audiences and local practice. . This collaboration will support four new LMIC country research teams and the scale up of existing programmes of work in India, Nepal, Ghana and Ethiopia.. 1) Support the generation of locally relevant evidence and institutionalization of strengthened national capacities in Low- and Middle-Income countries (LMICs). 2) Enhance the impact of these efforts by embedding them within ongoing Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) programmes and strengthen institutional capacity. 3) Contribute to strengthening a global community committed to employing NCD implementation research to improve health outcomes and achieve Sustainable Development Goal target 3.4. \n \n ID: GB-GOV-10-AHPSR-PolicyMakerNW\nTitle: Policy-makers network for health policy and systems research  \nDescription: A collaboration between the World Health Organization (WHO) Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR) and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to support establishment of a WHO Alliance policy-maker network. This programme of work will: \n- Convene senior policy-makers from Low- and Middle Income Countries (LMICs) for six convenings over a three year period (twice per year).
