Ces partenariats permettront d’approfondir et d’étendre le travail de l’ICSRS, notamment dans le domaine thématique transversal clé que constitue l’égalité des genres et de l’inclusion. \n\nCe projet renforcera les concepts et les pratiques en matière d’égalité des genres et d’inclusion dans les cycles d’octroi de subventions des conseils scientifiques de la recherche en utilisant une approche intégrée qui est conçue et mise en œuvre conjointement avec les conseils. Le projet vise à accroître à la fois l’intégration de l’égalité des genres et l’inclusion dans le travail des conseils et la participation et les rôles de leadership des femmes dans la recherche, le développement et l’innovation. L’initiative sera mise en œuvre pendant 33 mois par un consortium comprenant le Conseil de recherche en sciences humaines d’Afrique du Sud, Portia Ltd, le Conseil pour le développement de la recherche en sciences sociales en Afrique (CODESRIA) et Jive Media Africa.\n\nL’Initiative des conseils subventionnaires de la recherche scientifique (ICSRS) en Afrique subsaharienne est une initiative regroupant plusieurs bailleurs de fonds qui est soutenue par le CRDI, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office du Royaume-Uni, la National Research Foundation d’Afrique du Sud, l’Agence suédoise de coopération internationale au développement et la Fondation allemande pour la recherche.
