It operationalized and rolled out the ILO cooperative development tools (think.coop and start.coop) in building the capacity of 34 new and existing cooperatives, mainly from the agricultural value chain. The integrated enterprise, cooperative and financial service assessment that were conducted in Tigray and Somali regions and their subsequent validation by the concerned stakeholders contributed to the achievement of the above-mentioned result. \n\nIn 2021, twenty eight garment factories improved enterprise productivity, quality and optimized their production processes which resulted in reduced percentage of products discarded due to errors from 15 percent to 2.5 percent in 2019 and from eight percent to four percent in 2020 in some factories. Moreover, reduction of reworked production decreased from 15%- to 11% (2019) and from 25% to 2% (2020). Furthermore, workplace cooperation between workers and management improved and it is observed that the rate of absenteeism reduced to the average of 4.2 per cent for all factories Through the PROSPECTS programme, ILO completed and validated an integrated enterprise, cooperative and financial service assessment in Tigray and Somali regions in December 2020. The assessment has facilitated the design of effective enterprise, cooperative and financial inclusion interventions in the Somali region which from December 2020 to August 2021, have strengthened service providers (both financial and non-financial BDS providers), national stakeholders, district job creation offices, and refugee and their host communities through tailor made, need based and effective capacity building training in several regions of the country (Jigjiga, Tigray and Somali). It operationalized and rolled out the ILO cooperative development tools (think.coop and start.coop) in building the capacity of 34 new and existing cooperatives, mainly from the agricultural value chain. The integrated enterprise, cooperative and financial service assessment that were conducted in Tigray and Somali regions and their subsequent validation by the concerned stakeholders contributed to the achievement of the above-mentioned result. \\n\\nIn 2021, twenty eight garment factories improved enterprise productivity, quality and optimized their production processes which resulted in reduced percentage of products discarded due to errors from 15 percent to 2.5 percent in 2019 and from eight percent to four percent in 2020 in some factories. Moreover, reduction of reworked production decreased from 15%- to 11% (2019) and from 25% to 2% (2020). Furthermore, workplace cooperation between workers and management improved and it is observed that the rate of absenteeism reduced to the average of 4.2 per cent for all factories Through the PROSPECTS programme, ILO completed and validated an integrated enterprise, cooperative and financial service assessment in Tigray and Somali regions in December 2020. The assessment has facilitated the design of effective enterprise, cooperative and financial inclusion interventions in the Somali region which from December 2020 to August 2021, have strengthened service providers (both financial and non-financial BDS providers), national stakeholders, district job creation offices, and refugee and their host communities through tailor made, need based and effective capacity building training in several regions of the country (Jigjiga, Tigray and Somali). The capacity building program included cooperative management, financial education, entrepreneurship development and business management, reaching out to 85 service providers from Government, NGOs and private sector and more than 300 cooperatives and enterprise owners in Somali region and Addis Ababa. Besides the programmes has updated the value chain analysis of the livestock sector in the region of Jigjiga, and supported the certification process of 11 SIYB trainer candidates in Somali region. \\n\\nThe ILO Built the capacity of financial service providers through ILO\\u2019s Making financial inclusion work for refugees and host communities. 22 participants (3 women) coming from Financial service providers (banks, Microfinance institutions, credit unions, digital financial service providers, NGO\\u2019s and UN agencies) have developed an action plan to design new financial product targeting refugees and host communities. \\n\\nThe ILO Financial education material is adapted to the local context.
